Elizabeth Arroyo, originally from Kansas City, KS, obtained her BFA in Studio Art from Creighton University in 2020. She has been painting with oil for over a decade, and produces predominantly alla prima (wet-on-wet, one-sitting) paintings. Arroyo works from life, capturing the essence of whatever is sitting in front of her at the moment, be it a waterscape, a model, a building, or a friend. Never one to confine herself to one style, she also enjoys painting large, colorful abstract works completely from imagination. Arroyo is the recipient the Grace Keenan Art Scholarship for Excellence in the Arts and the Frank Jackson Art Acquisition Award.
